Low cost repair for a broken KitchenAid Stand Mixer. It was producing a loud grinding noise in the gear box area and the paddle was not turning properly. The problem was the Worm Gear Follower inside the transmission box.
If your mixer is making a loud grinding sounds and not moving in spots , its possible you need to replace the worm gear follower. Below are some links for the parts to fix it.
